Regis (RGS) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.74 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.08. This compares to loss of $1.01 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -825%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this owner of hair salon chains Supercuts and MasterCuts would post a loss of $0.02 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.70, delivering a surprise of -3,400%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus EPS estimates.
Regis, which belongs to the Zacks Retail – Miscellaneous industry, posted revenues of $99.13 million for the quarter ended June 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 7.17%.
